Tech Tips & Tales from The MS Office Maestro
Welcome Welcome Welcome to all my new subscribers!
Here you will find a mix of personal, training and tips here.π
It's the final countdown
I am writing this edition on Wednesday 19th February. I have been very busy since the last edition. Last week I ran 3 workshops on concurrent days with lovely feedback.
Then I took Friday off!
This week I spent most of Monday recording a session for the EA Campus Evolve Summit. That will go live on March 28 when I will just have arrived back from the US so it had to be done this week. The session is all about Microsoft Loop which is a fun collaboration app. More about Loop in future newsletters.
Then on Tuesday, I spent the day finalising all the presentations for the workshops I am giving at The PA Show next week. They are rather good if I say so myself π€£π€£
Today I have been learning about CoPilot Agents and I am very excited about the possibilities that this new way of working can bring. More on this in the future.
This afternoon I am re-recording one of the Virtually Amazing Assistants Podcast - with the lovely Ginette Tessier, as when I started to edit the episode, I realised that the sound was just not up to scratch. So that will be this afternoon.
Tomorrow and Friday will be all about making sure that I have everything I need for the trip - going from freezing cold London to hot Florida - where 2 of our 3 children live.
We will be in Florida for 3 weeks and whilst there I will deliver the Excel webinar detailed below. Grab your spot today!

Weekly Excel Tip
Conditional Formatting for Better Visualisation
Conditional Formatting in Excel allows you to highlight cells that meet certain criteria, making it easier to spot trends and outliers in your data.
For instance, you can use Conditional Formatting to highlight cells with values above a certain threshold or to colour-code cells based on their values.
To apply Conditional Formatting, select the range of cells you want to format, go to the "Home" tab, and click on "Conditional Formatting."
Choose a rule type, set the conditions, and select the formatting style you want to apply.
In the example below I have chosen to Highlight Cells Rules - Highlight cells that have a value greater than 1500. The cells that match the condition are filled in with light red fill and darker red text making them stand out from everything else.
Set up conditional formatting
There are several rule types to choose from and they will all give you great visualisations of your data. Have a go and let me know how you get on and how you will use it in your spreadsheets.
